Bingo, anyone? Prizes, fun and more fun!

Family Night = Family Fun!

by Sue McCracken

What a great turn-out for our family night lock-in.  Pizza, Bingo, Twister, and four movies to choose from with popcorn to boot!

Families began filing into the school at 6 PM.  Pizza was available for a dollar a slice with a complimentary cup of juice included in the price  While families worked their way through slices of pizza, they also had the option of purchasing a baked item to help support the Libertyville playground fund.  The bake sale was provided by Amanda Beasley and Sarah Godwin.

Soon the gymnasium was filled with calls of B-8 and 0-72 as Bingo cards were stamped and prizes were won.  At 7 PM everyone filed into the movie theater (classroom) of their choice to watch either Snow Buddies, Garfield and Friends, Daddy Day Camp or Game Plan.  Popcorn and water were delivered to the movie-goers to enjoy during the movies.  Finally, around 9 PM the lock-out was over and many parents stayed to help clean up the school.

What a great way for our students to share time at school with their families and their school friends Thanks to all our school staff and our parents who helped, and the ACTION team for sponsoring the evening.  We look forward to more family times in the future!
