Summer Band Session Information

This year’s summer band session will be held from Monday, July 21 through Friday, August 1st. The 6th grade (current 5th graders) rehearsal time is from 8 to 9:15 AM each day for the two weeks.
Private lessons are available at an additional cost, and are 20 minute lessons, scheduled in the afternoons – one lesson each week.
Cost for the session is $25 for the group band, and an addition $10 for private lessons.
The summer opportunities help the students remember what they've learned this year, and advance their skills. They receive as much group instruction in the summer session as they do for an entire quarter of the school year, and student participation helps reduce the amount of time needed for review once school starts.
There will also be a private teacher list available if students want to schedule weekly lessons with a local teacher. Times and fees are up to the instructor. Taking weekly half hour private lessons in the summer is the same instruction time as an entire semester of school lessons, and individualized instruction to advance or improve each student’s playing abilities.
