Washington students enjoy "Field Day" activities on the last day, June 4.

Weather Cooperates for Last Day Activities

by Joe Carr

The last day of school at Washington Elementary included our awards assembly, teachers vs. students kickball game, and Field Day events.  We recognized 46 fifth graders who will be moving to the Middle School next year, including 12 of whom earned Presidential Academic Fitness Awards.  We will miss our fifth graders and look forward to following their accomplishments.  Students enjoyed watching and participating in our annual kickball game between Washington staff and the winning team from our kickball tournament.  (The staff remained undefeated.)  The weather allowed us to hold our field day events, including sack races and an obstacle course, among other events.  It was an enjoyable way to end a successful year at Washington Elementary!
