Summer Plans
Seniors leaving this summer will be off to start there new lives. Many are planning to work, while others are planning to relax and lay around.
Heath Granneman is planning on working at Subway and working at basketball to get ready to leave for Central College in the fall. Camps may happen for him, but he says he is going to work hard on building muscle so he will be ready to play against the tough college competition.
Tige Rainbolt plans on getting a job somewhere to save up enough money to get an apartment. He also plans to hang out with friends and enjoy his summer before he goes off. “I will be going to Indian Hills to study engineering this fall.” Tige said.
Laura Liles is working full time at Chappell Studios. She also plans to enjoy hanging out with her friends and boyfriend. “I am planning on going to college in the fall like most of my peers, but first I really would like to just hang out with my friends and enjoy the time that I have left.”
Jeff Roloff is joining the National Guard. He will not attend the graduation ceremony because he is leaving prior to graduation. “The last few days that I do get to spend in Fairfield I want to make the best. I want to spend as much time with my friends and family so that when I do leave it won’t be so hard.
Most of the students that were interviewed sounded happy about what they are going to be doing there last summer before they break out into the world.
They are young and energetic about being responsible for there own lives. They are all happy about what they will be doing in the fall. They all want to make the most of the time they are spending at home, and with there friends. Manly they are all ready for the freedom to become who they want. They want to have the freedom to mistakes for themselves that affect them, but at the same time they will all alone to face the consequences.
Being nervous isn’t really an issue for most of the students. Manly they just wanted to get out and see the world. They did have jitters about getting out and being free from parental control.
