Updated - - Weather-Related Notifications

Fairfield Community School District has numerous ways the public can stay informed about weather-related announcements.  Fairfield Schools is the 4th largest district in the state geographically.  The decision to delay or cancel school is never taken lightly.  The safety of our students and drivers is our biggest concern.  If school is cancelled or delayed, it is the intent to have the decision made by 6:30 a.m., unless weather conditions warrant otherwise.

The public can stay informed of all weather-related announcements by using one or more of the following outlets:

  • District Website - www.fairfieldsfuture.org
  • Campus Messenger Voice*
  • Inclement Weather Hotline –– 641-472-4858
  • KMCD-1570 AM (Fairfield)
  • CLASSIC 96 FM (Fairfield)
  • KRUU-100 FM (Fairfield)
  • KILJ (Mt. Pleasant)
  • WHO Radio and TV (Des Moines)
  • KTVO (Kirksville/Ottumwa)
  • KYOU-Fox 15 (Ottumwa)

The district web site will have a scrolling banner when there is a delay, cancellation, or early out.

*Campus Messenger Voice  is a program available to parents, guardians, and school staff.  It will send e-mail and phone notifications when there is a school closing, delay, or early-out.  Click here to learn how you can receive e-mail and/or phone notifications.  This is only available to parents/guardians and school staff.   Click here to learn more!
