Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School “Students of the Month” award. The purpose of this award is to acknowledge positive contributions of FMS students at school. These positive contributions range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom. The ‘Students of the Month’ certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade level teaching team.

Bailey Tucker is receiving the April Student of the Month Award.  She exemplifies Trojan PRIDE in the classroom daily, and she comes prepared to learn.  She is an outstanding classroom helper to her classmates with anything at any time.  She steps up to be a leader when needed.  Keep showing great leadership skills and following Trojan PRIDE, Bailey!

Congratulations to Josua Carlson for April Student of the Month. He has a great attitude about school and life in general. He is a caring, hard working and respectful towards his peers and teachers. Josua stands out because he is consistently making good choices and demonstrates Trojan PRIDE no matter where he is in our building. I am proud of you, Josua!

Congratulations to Anthony Smithburg for being chosen as the April Student of the Month for 6th grade. Anthony works extremely hard in all of his classes. He doesn't give up, even when the tasks are difficult. He isn't afraid to ask questions if he doesn't understand. His teachers appreciate his perseverance and the example he sets for other students. Keep up the fantastic work, Anthony!

The 6th team would like to congratulate Charlie Klett on being selected by her teachers as the April Student of the Month. She is prepared every day and is extremely dependable on getting work done on time. Charlie displays a great work ethic and attitude, striving to do her best at all times. She is also a quiet leader who always tries to hold her peers accountable to following Trojan PRIDE, while also following it herself! Way to go Charlie!

Bailey Champ comes to class every day prepared to learn; that is one reason why Bailey was chosen as the recipient of the April Student of the Month. Bailey can also be described as a dependable student and treats others with kindness and can be counted on to work hard individually or with a group. In addition, she is conscientious about her work and will always ask about what she missed after being gone. In all, Bailey is quiet, but she does the best she can in her learning opportunities and is a great example of Trojan PRIDE. Congratulations, Bailey!

Manny Ftwi is a very engaged learner; he thinks outside the box and does a great job of thinking of an alternating explanation. This is one of the reasons Manny was chosen as the recipient of the April Student of the Month. Manny is also a hard worker; he wants to understand the how and why of what he is learning and is willing to put in extra time and effort to accomplish this. Not only is Manny dedicated to his studies, but he treats people with kindness and respect. He shows concern and compassion for his classmates and is very giving to others in order to help them see success. Congratulations, Manny!

Kirandeep Kaur has shown herself to be a hard worker with a positive attitude and a ready smile.  Coming to another country where everything is unfamiliar, including the language, has to be daunting, but Kirandeep has handled the transition with grace.  She perseveres and has made great strides since arriving.  We feel that she has shown herself to be a worthy recipient of the April Student of the Month recognition.  Congratulations!

Austin Lisk exhibits the characteristics needed to be named April Student of the Month. He works well with his peers, is consistently participating in group discussion, and is respectful during class. When asked to do something he does it with his best effort, which is greatly appreciated by the 8th grade teachers. He also takes initiative in improving his grade when the option is available. Keep up the good work, Austin!
