Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School “Students of the Month” award. The purpose of this award is to acknowledge the positive contributions of FMS students at school. These positive contributions range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom. The ‘Students of the Month’ certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade level teaching team.
Ryker Mallinger has been chosen as the 5th-grade October Student of the Month. Ryker has a kind and positive soul. One example of this is how he includes his classmates in their games at recess. He looks for the underdog in a situation and purposefully works to include them in the activity. He always comes to school with a "can-do" attitude and a smile on his face. I can always count on him to join our Zoom meetings and has never missed a due date for an assignment. Ryker is a superb example of Trojan PRIDE and leadership. He makes proactive choices and knows what the right thing to do is. Ryker makes my classroom a fun place to come to teach each day. Congratulations, Ryker!
Aubrey Ryan has been a 5th-grade class leader this whole school year. Aubrey has had a hard-working student both inside the classroom, and at home over zoom. She is a very reliable student who I can trust will always be doing her very best and to be doing the right thing. Aubrey is always taking chances in the classroom and is always ready to answer questions. She is also very helpful, she is a great volunteer to help, not only the teacher but when other students need help, too. Along with that, Aubrey always has a great attitude with everything that we are doing. She always goes into things with an open mind and always gives it her all. Again, Aubrey is a classroom leader and has done a great job of making the classroom and FMS a better place for everyone! Keep it up, Aubrey.
