Meet Diana Hayes! Diana is in her 5th year at Washington Elementary as a preschool classroom associate. Diana has worked for the After School Program for four years and two years in the summer school program. She continues to serve FCSD and is the secretary for Trojan Unite PTO.
Last year Diana married her husband James. She has a ‘bonus son’ Teddy in 3rd grade. They all live together with Mia, the dog.
Diana is a ‘transplant’ into Fairfield and the rest of her family lives in Fort Madison.
She has met some of the nicest people in her life while working for the district. Her preschool team works so well together and she is so very proud of them for what they have done and continue to do. They laugh multiple times a day and even on the tough days they still can find something that “fills our bucket.”
Diana always loved working with kids and their honesty is so humbling. Diana stated, “It’s a privilege to get to work with them and watch them grow”.
A colleague gave Diana a shout out, "Diana always shows compassion and encouragement to her coworkers. She is so patient and kind with the children in her class. She is one of the reasons I look forward to working every day. I cannot imagine our PK team without her and her smile". Thank you, Diana for making a difference each day!
