Please let me introduce myself. I am Tina Townsend and I will be serving the Fairfield Community School District as the Washington Elementary Principal. At the end of the 2020 - 2021 school year I retired from the Missouri Public School System with 28 years of service.  

My background is as follows:  Northeast Missouri State University, Kirksville, MO - B.S. in early childhood education, Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, MO - Masters in educational leadership, and William Woods University, Fulton, MO - Specialist in school administration. My tenure in the state of Missouri was with the Gorin R-III School District, the Schuyler County R-I School District, and the Lexington R-V School District. I also have experience with the First Judicial District as a victim advocate.

My husband, Kirk, works for Hillphoenix Manufacturing in Keosauqua. This spring we celebrated 30 years of marriage. We have been blessed with two children, Joshua and Danielle. Joshua and his wife, Taylar, live in the Memphis, MO area. Danielle still lives at home and will be completing her masters in Marketing in December 2021. 

As an elementary principal I am an excellent listener, adept at building relationships, fair & consistent, supportive, and a strong leader. You can be assured that my goal is to provide a successful school environment for all students, staff, and patrons.
