Meet Paige Holderbaum from Washington Elementary.
Paige was born and raised in Fairfield and attended Washington Elementary as a student when she was a child. Paige finds joy outside work, kayaking and roller skating, painting, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends. She also helps plan and volunteer at SEIA Kids Camp at Lake Darling every summer.
Paige has been working at Washington Elementary since January 2020. When Paige started at Washington, she worked as a One-on-One associate and thoroughly enjoyed building relationships with the students she worked closely with and watching them grow as the year went on. This year, Paige has taken on a new role as the Refocus Room Associate at Washington.
Paige works with students one-on-one or in small groups in Washington’s Refocus Room to practice social-emotional and/or self-regulation skills essential for classroom success. They explore and practice ways to help students manage their behavior or emotions to ensure they feel supported and safe. Paige also spends two afternoons a week helping with the After School Program at Washington. She appreciates the opportunity this gives her to connect with students she does not often see throughout the day. Paige loves the people she works with and being a part of the Washington team! “Paige, thank you for making a difference at Washington! We appreciate you”!
