Update on School Meals: Funding for free meals for all students ended 6/30/22. Fairfield Schools has returned to paid, reduced, & free meals for the 2022-23 school year. If you think you may qualify for free or reduced meals, please contact the ACT Office, (641)472-2655. If you don't qualify for free meals, you can put money on your child's food service account using the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, or you may pay at the ACT Office or your child's school.

This message is to inform you that all buildings are now cleared of students. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as the district worked with Law Enforcement to keep all students safe. Thank you for your understanding.

The remaining students who walk home will be released shortly after the buses have left. Law Enforcement remains on site for the safety of your students. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

FCSD Buses will be arriving at each attendance center for a 2:00 PM student release. Law Enforcement will remain at each building to help with increased security for the safety of your students.

Law Enforcement has secured the areas around each of the FCSD attendance centers. Students who are being picked up in personal vehicles will be released approximately 1:45 PM. If you are picking up your student, please follow normal routes and procedures for your buildings for car pick up. Buses will be released shortly after that and another message will be sent out at that time.

ATTENTION....All FCSD buildings are currently under a Level 2 lock down. Law enforcement has been called to investigate the report of dangerous activity around the Pence Elementary playground. Student release will be delayed until Law Enforcement says it is safe to release. please watch your phones and emails for more updates.

When the weather is wet outside, it can't dampen the Mario Kart spirit on Field Day at Washington Elementary. The students are tearing up the tracks and our esports athletes are rockin' it with their student support!!! #OneFairfield

Great Job, Mrs. Keller, Washington and Pence students!

A group effort occurred at Camp Courageous this past week to save the life of a staff member who had a seizure while underwater and essentially drowned. Luckily, the Washington team realized the emergency and took action! The team of heroes includes Brad Carlson, Michaele Cook, Paige Holderbaum, Holly Harris, Mandy Ford, Claire Christensen, and Jenny Christensen. Brad stated, “Everyone did their job, we had a great working system, and everyone communicated without communicating”. Brad went on to explain that people stepped up and realized an emergency was happening and filled in to do the jobs without any preparation for such an emergency. The students were taken care of and everyone was in good hands. All the preparation for trauma this year brings this emergency home. Thank you, Washington staff, for your quick actions. You are true heroes!

Congratulations to Fairfield's 2022 Teacher of the Year, Hannah Baker! Hannah teaches at Pence Elementary and was selected to represent Fairfield's Teacher as their 2022 Teacher of the Year.
