Staff Shout Out - Meet Heidi Grunwald, FHS FACS Teacher

 Heidi Grunwald has been teaching in Fairfield for 17 years. She previously taught Family and Consumer Science and Health at Harmony Community School District for six years. This spring, Heidi will be in her 13th season of coaching tennis. Through her coaching tenure, the girls have gone to state nine times. Heidi stated, “this is due to the hard work of these athletes.”  Heidi is also in her 12th year as the student council sponsor. She is a mentor for new teachers also. 

Outside of school, Heidi is the secretary/treasurer of the Southeast Regional Fire Honor Guard. Heidi and John have been married for 30 years this coming June. They have a daughter Haley Kilayo and her husband, Alais, that live in Minneapolis, MN. One son, Drew Grunwald, and his wife, Cel Krause, live in Appleton, WI. Their third child, Blair Grunwald, lives in Fairfield, Iowa. 

Heidi’s house stays busy with two dogs, Jade and Scrappy. 

Heidi enjoys spending time with family and time at their cottage in northern Wisconsin doing puzzles and reading.
