Meet Norma Davis- High School Head Custodian
Norma is our high school head custodian. She has worked at the high school for two years. Norma stated she enjoys the job thoroughly, and the best part is interacting with all the students and staff. The individuals within the high school walls are an extension of her family. Norma went on to say that she appreciates every person, and they bring her great joy. Each person has an important job, and all jobs are important. Norma said part of her role is the keeper of people and places. That is the definition of a custodian. She is also a vessel for servant leadership. She gives of herself to support staff and students and help them feel good about their day. Norma makes a point to say hello to as many people as possible throughout the day. That is important to make connections with others. You never know when you may need that connection later.
Outside of school, Norma enjoys watching her grandchildren at various events and spending time with her family. Norma’s relaxing place is by the lake, and she will spend as much time there as possible.
A staff member stated, “Norma takes great pride in keeping the school clean and safe. She treats all the students as her children and the staff as family. Whatever Norma can do to help make a positive experience for the students and staff, she works towards this goal”.
